No visit to Cuzco would be complete without a trip to the legendary Machu Picchu. This iconic Inca citadel, perched high in the Andes Mountains, is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Embark on the awe-inspiring journey to Machu Picchu, either by hiking the Inca Trail or taking a scenic train ride. Witness the sun rising over the majestic ruins and marvel at the architectural ingenuity of the Incas.
At the indicated time, our driver will be waiting for you at the airport in the city of Lima, after meeting, he will transfer you to the selected Hotel.
This day we recommend that you have your bags ready, since you will be in mobility during the City Tour, finishing the tour we will take you directly to the Airport so that you can fly to Cuzco.
Our driver will pick you up from the Hotel at 07:30 am for the City Tour.
CITY TOURS
ANCESTRAL LIMA: We begin our tour with a view of the Historic Center of Lima, called “the City of Kings”
COLONIAL LIMA: We visit the Historic Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, highlighting the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the Municipal Palace among others.
We visit the MUSEUM OF THE CENTRAL RESERVE BANK*, where you will appreciate the “Treasures of Peru Collection”, a select exhibition of gold objects, ceramics and textiles from various pre-Columbian cultures. Also, appreciate THE CONVENT OF SAN FRANCISCO (UNDERGROUND CATACOMBS), which constitutes the largest sample of colonial religious art in America. The visit to its underground crypts known as “Catacombs” stands out.
Then we will visit the city market, to go to the CHINO neighborhood, located in the heart of Colonial Lima.
After our tour of the city of Lima, we will transfer you to the Jorge Chavez Airport.
They will have a flight that leaves at 2:25 p.m., it is necessary to be at the airport 2 hours before the departure of the flight.
When your flight arrives in Cusco, Tours guide will meet you and transferred to your hotel in our private transport. On this half day tour, you will be visiting the notable Inca sites like the cathedral of Cusco, Qorikancha, Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Tambomachay and PucaPucara.
Qorikancha:
We will then visit Qorikancha or the Sun Temple. This was an emblematic building which was the supreme religious site to Incas. It was from here they worshipped Inti (Sun). Legends believe the courtyard of the temple was once filled with gold statues.
Sacsayhuaman:
We will then drive you to the outskirts of Cusco City. Here we will be visiting Sacsayhuaman. It is a fortress built using massive stone blocks each weighing over 100 tons. It is still a mystery how the Incas transported such massive stone blocks to the site.
Q’enqo:
Our next stop will be at Q’enqo. Incas used this site for sacrifices and to mummify corpses.
Tambomachay:
Driving further, we will be stopping at Tambomachay. It served as a spa to the political elite of Incas. The narrow water channels are linked to the nearby Timpucriver. Even today it works just as it used to during the time of Incas.
PucaPucara:
We will be culminating the trip by visiting PucaPucara. It is a massive rock. The Incan militants used this as a watch tower to keep away intruders from entering their capital city.
After the half day City Tours Cusco, we will be driving you back to Cusco city and will be dropping you off at Plaza Regocijo, a block away from Plaza de Armas
Your epic Peru Sacred Valley Tour begins with an early morning transfer from your hotel in Cusco to Ollantaytambo. Along the way, we will be stopping in Chinchero. Our local expert will be giving you an immersive tour of the Andean handicrafts center.
We will be stopping at the Inca ruins that offer a detailed introduction to the Inca civilization. After the tour, we will be driving you to Maras Salt mines. The geometric-shaped salt puddles on the slopes of a hill amidst a beautiful setting serve as the main source of income for the locals here.
Our local expert will be introducing you to the traditional Solar evaporation method and will give you an insight into the life of locals here.
Our next stop on this full-day Cusco to Sacred Valley of the Incas tour will be in Moray. These emblematic circular terraces are possibly one of the most photographed sites in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will get an overview of the Incas advancement in farming.
We will then drive you along the course of the Urubamba River amidst the snow-capped Andean peaks to the heart of the Sacred Valley Peru, Urubamba. Here we will be stopping at a local restaurant for traditional buffet lunch.
After relishing a native meal, we will be driving you further to Ollantaytambo, the former administrative capital of the Incas. We will be visiting the main Inca complex here on a guided tour.
You will then have some free time to walk around the town and check out the Incas town planning system.
Once you have had your fill of Ollantaytambo, we will be driving you to the train station to MachupicchuAguasCalientes.
Quite early in the morning, you will be boarding the bus from AguasCalientes to the Inca citadel. It is a 25 minutes journey up the hill. On reaching the entrance of Machu Picchu, our guide will be meeting you and will assist you in clearing the control and entering the citadel.
Here we will give you a two hours guided tour of Machu Picchu citadel. After the tour, you will have some free time to walk around the citadel. If you have booked in advance to hike to Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain, our guide will be directing you to the respective entrance.
Alternatively, you can hike to the Sungate. It is free and takes 2 hours to hike back and forth from the citadel. Those on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu enter the citadel through the Sungate. It offers a spectacular view of the citadel.
After exploring Machu Picchu, you will be taking a bus back down to AguasCalientes. Here you will be boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo.
Once in Ollantaytambo, our representative will be meeting you and will be driving you back to your hotel in Cusco.
The full day Vinicunca Peru Tour to the iconic Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain is one of the popular full day tours in Cusco. In Fact, the seven colored mountains are the second most visited attraction in Peru after Machu Picchu.
Cusco is home to two Rainbow Mountains, Vinicunca and Palccoyo. Vinicunca Rainbow Mountains are the most preferred one as it offers amazing views of the Peruvian highland at every turn.
We will be picking you up from your hotel in Cusco. Then in our private transport, we will be driving you along the South Valley of Cusco to Cusipata village. Here we will be stopping for 30 minutes to have breakfast.
After breakfast, we will drive for an hour to the starting point of the trek. Here we will be paying the entrance fee to the local community. Our local expert will share some information and will brief you on the safety procedure.
We will then begin with a one-and-a-half. The trek will offer youentracing view of the mighty Ausangate peak. You will also get to see Andean camelids – Alpacas and Llamas.
We will be hiking through many Andean farms and some remote communities who are untouched by modernity.
Once at the summit of the Rainbow Mountain, our local expert will be sharing some insight of the mountain. If time prevails, you can even hike to the red valley.
Once you have had your fill of this enchanting sight, we will start hiking back down to the trail head. Here we will be meeting our driver who will drive us to the Cusipata.
At Cusipata, we will be stopping for lunch. After lunch, we will be driving back to Cusco. Wewill be reaching Cusco at around 05:15 PM.
